Job Title: Assistant Controller About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Controller to join our dynamic manufacturing company in Lancaster, PA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial management, accounting principles, and manufacturing operations. This role is essential in supporting the financial health of the organization and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Support the development of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budgeted figures and reporting variances.
  • Oversee general ledger activities, including account reconciliations and adjustments, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
  • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including direct labor, materials, and overhead, providing insights and recommendations to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Work closely with other departments, including production, procurement, and sales, to support financial decision-making and process improvements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to identify and address financial issues and inefficiencies.
