We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Care Support Specialists at the NEEDS Center. As a Direct Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of community living.

About the Role

As a Direct Care Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting and supporting individuals in daily routines
  • Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking and cleaning
  • Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Implementing clinical, educational, and vocational programs
  • Observing and recording data for programs established in individual and behavior support plans
  • Participating with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with behavior management is preferred but not necessary
  • A good driving record
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
