Overview

We are looking for a career-minded individual who is passionate about providing exceptional service to our clients. As a Library Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the library's collection and ensuring that our clients have access to the resources they need.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, organize, and supervise the circulation of library materials
  • Supervise and train detainee library aides
  • Recommend library procedures and regulations for the Center
  • Select library books, periodicals, and materials for purchase
  • Develop and maintain a balanced collection appropriate to the needs of the assigned detainee population
  • Conduct library inventories
  • Prepare, maintain, and report appropriate records pertaining to circulation, inventory, newspapers, and magazines
  • May conduct library orientation for classes in coordination with instructors
  • Assist in preparation of library budget
  • Prepare and submit special reports as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in library sciences or related field or provisional/professional Librarian Certification required
  • One (1) year work experience and/or training preferred in the operation and maintenance of a small institutional library required
