About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Designer to join our Design System team at PayPal. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the design direction of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive best practices in design process and methodology to deliver against business and customer needs.
  • Guide UX efforts across teams, including strategy, planning, and collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Leverage and extend the use of design system, style guides, patterns, and assets in the creation of UX deliverables.
  • Contribute to the wider UX community, mentoring others and leveraging your strengths to help others grow.
  • Ensure consistency in all organizational output and visuals with the overall brand and strategic commitments.
Requirements
  • 10 to 12+ years of experience in UX roles, with a bachelor's and/or master's degree in user experience, design, research, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
  • High degree of craft, taste, and product intuition, with a keen eye towards future trends, emerging technology, and shifting customer expectations.
  • Thorough command of the UX lifecycle, with direct experience in all skill areas and tools, including facilitation of workshops or other collaboration techniques.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and working through ambiguity.
  • Compelling storyteller who can educate as well as entertain.
