Job Title: Nurse Specialist - Addiction Treatment
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Narcotic Drug Treatment Center. As an accredited Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), we specialize in providing care and support to individuals facing opioid use disorder.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for administering methadone treatment, monitoring patient progress, and providing education on medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
- They will work closely with physicians, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to create and update individualized treatment plans.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA/42 CFR regulations.
Requirements:
- A current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alaska.
- Experience in addiction medicine, mental health, or substance use treatment is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT), including methadone, buprenorphine, and naloxone.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
