Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Mechanic to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform senior-level functions in the air conditioning shop, including control of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and automated alarm systems.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other staff to achieve departmental outcomes and ensure seamless operations.
  • Conduct periodic maintenance work on all equipment in the Air Conditioning Shop, including air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and ventilating systems.
  • Respond to emergency situations and expedite repairs in conjunction with other trades.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of all power saws, pipe cutting machines, grinders, and specialty tools.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.
