Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Amherst County School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language screenings, assessments, and therapy to children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen, evaluate, diagnose, and remediate communication disorders in students from two to twenty-one years of age.
  • Use a wide range of test materials and assessment procedures in areas of speech, language, voice, fluency, and hearing.
  • Develop and implement appropriate goals and objectives for each individual student.
  • Implement clinical procedures in providing individualized programming to each student.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and assistive technology applicable to the position.
  • Strong communication and human relation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of an educational team.
  • Good written language and organizational skills.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders.
  • Licensed by the Board of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP).
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) desirable.
  • Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and local laws and policies as they pertain to speech-language pathology.

Contract Period: 10 months
