Job Overview

The General Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the St. Joseph River Yacht Club. This role involves managing all aspects of club operations, including food and beverage services, sailing programs, special events, and member services.

Responsibilities

This high-profile position requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing annual operating expenses in excess of $1.2M
  • Supervising a team of 20-25 permanent and seasonal staff members
  • Coordinating marketing efforts to attract new members and promote club services
  • Developing short- and long-term strategies to enhance club operations and achieve business goals
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • At least 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a private club setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and cash flow analysis
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
