Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the Rheumatology Department, including strategic planning, goal setting, and performance management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to advance the field of rheumatology and improve patient outcomes.
- Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of rheumatologists and support staff.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in rheumatology and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and departmental operations.
- MD, MD/PhD, DO, or international equivalent terminal degree.
- Eligibility for medical licensure and clinical practice in the state of Louisiana.
- Proven record of administrative and academic leadership abilities, as well as a demonstrated commitment to education, mentoring, and clinical research.
- A strong record of scholarly achievement and extramural funding.
- Demonstrated leadership and accomplishments in complex organizational environments.
