We are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Attorney to join our team at Eliassen Group. As a Privacy Attorney, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in navigating the complex landscape of consumer data privacy and security laws.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate data protection addendums and other data-related agreements for various business initiatives.
  • Negotiate complex commercial transactions involving consumer data, including technology, marketing, and license agreements.
  • Provide expert guidance on compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Partner with our Privacy Office to support, enhance, and scale our existing privacy program.
  • Collaborate with compliance, information security, and other stakeholders to perform privacy assessments.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant consumer protection, privacy, and data security laws and regulations.
  • Work with our privacy legal team to maintain, update, and draft contract templates and playbooks.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with consumer data privacy and security law.
  • Ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements.
  • 8+ years of combined experience in law firms, governmental agencies, and/or in-house legal departments.
  • 4+ years of experience providing expert advice on various legal risks and obligations under privacy and data security laws.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Admission to at least one state bar.
  • Exceptional contract drafting and written communication skills.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating data privacy and security terms and agreements.
