Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electronic Component Repair Specialist is skilled in the restoration of electronic assemblies through component-level replacement and soldering, as well as general assembly tasks. This role necessitates the use of precision hand tools, soldering equipment, and the capability to adhere to detailed disposition records. Additionally, this position involves maintaining accurate records and performing basic data entry, along with collaborating with stockroom personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to Military standards and ISO regulations
  • Rework returned units down to the component level
  • Ensure that completed products meet quality assurance standards
  • Install jumpers, components, heat sinks, and other necessary items to prepare units for testing

QUALIFICATIONS:

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with electronic components and assemblies
  • Soldering: IPC 610 – Class 3 Training Certificate is preferred; Class 2 is acceptable, but no qualifications below Class 2 are permitted
  • Exceptional attention to detail is essential
