About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Counsel to join our Energy and Environmental Practice Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the future of our practice and mentoring our associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of our Energy and Environmental Practice Group, driving growth and innovation.
  • Mentor and guide our associates in the group, providing guidance and support.
  • Handle complex matters related to federal and State regulations, SEQRA, permitting, environmental remediation, and enforcement.
  • Counsel clients on energy matters, including siting before the New York State Public Service Commission and the Office of Renewable Energy Siting.
  • Negotiate power purchase agreements and credit agreements for renewable energy projects.
  • Advise on land use and zoning matters.
Requirements
  • Licensed to practice in New York State.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • Experience handling matters related to federal and State regulations, SEQRA, permitting, environmental remediation, and enforcement.
  • Experience counseling clients on energy matters, particularly regarding siting before the New York State Public Service Commission and the Office of Renewable Energy Siting.
  • Experience with renewable energy projects, including negotiation of power purchase agreements and credit agreements.
  • Land use and zoning experience is a plus.
What We Offer
