Role Responsibilities:
The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician will report directly to the Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor, focusing on the installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical systems.
Key Duties Include:
- Perform scheduled compliance tasks to meet high-quality standards.
- Install fixed plant electrical conduits and related infrastructure.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical systems and telemetry in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain effective communication with the Electrical Supervisor and other stakeholders.
- Manage costs rigorously to minimize rework and unnecessary resource use.
- Continuously assess scheduled tasks for improvement opportunities.
- Identify and report equipment defects using the electrical management process.
- Contribute to the development and adherence to Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and Work Instructions (WPI) to ensure risk mitigation and safety compliance.
- Conduct electrical testing in line with standards and ensure accurate documentation.
- Complete all safety-related tasks as per company policy, including hazard identification, pre-start checks, and incident reporting.
Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the electrical field, preferably within the mining sector.
- Familiarity with NEC code and PLC programming is a plus.
- Experience with high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
- Instrumentation expertise, including flow management, pH analyzers, and level control.
- Proficient in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Adaptability to new procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations.
- Ability to pass a background check and physical examination.
Work Schedule:
This position operates on a rotating schedule of three weeks on and three weeks off, with shifts that may extend up to 12 hours a day in a remote work environment. Candidates should be prepared for challenging conditions, including variable weather, noise levels, and confined workspaces.
