Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and modesty at all times.
  • Obtain and examine requisitions for imaging examinations, verifying patient identification and obtaining informed consent when necessary.
  • Position patients and instruct them on procedures to obtain desired screening/diagnostic results.
  • Follow department policies and procedures, making adjustments to techniques as needed.
  • Provide protection to unaffected areas of the body from radiation exposure, adhering to prescribed safety standards.
  • Calculate and select proper technical factors for procedures, selecting equipment appropriate to the patient and examination.
Requirements
  • RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including a temporary (1 year) MA license.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology within 12 months of hire.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience with Epic EMR and hospital experience with ER patients and OR c-arm cases preferred.
