Job Overview
As a vital member of the Hygeia Dairy team, you will engage in a variety of warehouse and inventory management activities. Your responsibilities will include receiving, processing, storing, moving, and distributing products and materials within a warehouse or refrigerated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload and load trucks, trailers, and pallets efficiently.
  • Review production schedules, customer orders, and shipping orders to determine items to be handled.
  • Transport materials from receiving or production areas to designated storage locations using hand trucks or electric hand trucks.
  • Maintain accurate records of received and shipped items.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment while adhering to defined processes.

Additional Duties
  • Sort and organize materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to size, type, or product code.
  • Manage the storage of perishable goods in the refrigerated section.
  • Oversee the organization and rotation of stock in all coolers and warehouse areas.
  • Prepare customer orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify shipment details, including bills of lading, for correctness before dispatch.
  • Utilize computer systems to maintain inventory records and perform data entry.
  • Assist with inventory counts and monitor product conditions throughout the process.
  • May operate forklifts or other equipment to facilitate loading and unloading tasks.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or production roles.
  • Relevant certifications for operating forklifts or other equipment may be required.

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong mathematical skills for inventory management.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
  • Capability to adapt to changing tasks and follow instructions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
