Job Summary

The School-Based Clinician will provide clinical and case management services for children in a school-based setting. This role requires fostering positive working relationships with co-workers, clients, and external key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality mental health services to students in our school district, working in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and parents.
  • Lead, motivate, and support staff, manage referrals, admissions, and discharges, and ensure the integrity of the program model.
  • Develop and document clear clinical formulations and treatment plans, individualized and measurable, in collaboration with the client/family and others as relevant.
  • Maintain and facilitate a minimum of 1 group during the school year, utilizing evidence-based practices to engage clients in model-specific treatment targeted to address trauma.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, family, and internal and external providers, attending required meetings and multidisciplinary treatment team planning meetings.
  • Meet direct service productivity goals, demonstrating knowledge of program/department/agency goals and target outcomes, and adhering to practice standards and data collection and reporting protocols.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Counseling, or Doctoral degree in Psychology.
  • Licensure Requirements for Clinical Positions: Must hold one of the following credentials: LMSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPC, or licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in the State of Connecticut.
