Job Summary

Thompson Gray is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join the Business Operations team. The selected candidate will perform various contract administration functions across a spectrum of actions associated with proposals, contract award, and all phases of contract administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Administration: Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts that are of a variety of types and complexity (FFP, CPFF, T&M, etc)
  • Proposal Preparation: Conduct proposal preparation support and contract negotiation
  • Contract Management: Serve as main POC for all phases of contract administration with internal and external stakeholders in accordance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Contract Review: Work under general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs and make recommendations to management.
  • Risk Management: Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Contract Closeout: Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information.
  • Estimate Review: Examine estimates of material, equipment, services, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Contract File Management: Maintain detailed, well-organized contract files in accordance with internal system.
  • Deliverable Submission: Ensure timely submission of all contractual deliverables (CDRLs), invoices, proposals, and data calls.
  • Corporate Reporting: Support bid preparation and corporate reporting requirements; advise management of contractual rights and obligations; compile and analyze data.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 4+ years of contract administration experience
  • License/Certifications: Relevant industry certification preferred, such as NCMA CFCM, CPCM, etc.
  • Software: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); SharePoint experience preferred
Desirable Skills and Abilities
  • Government Contracting: Working knowledge of Government contracting, proposal, and negotiation processes
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of Government regulations, FAR/DFARS, and other agency supplements
  • Price and Cost Analysis: Experience with price and cost analyses preferred
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal Skills: Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and Accountability: Ability to own work product development and demonstrate initiative and accountability for assigned task areas, effectively coordinating with team members across various organizations
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Extremely detail oriented
