Job Title: Compliance and Regulatory Specialist

Distinctive Living is seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Regulatory Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to clinical and risk management activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide clinical oversight and delegation to community staff, ensuring compliance with state board of nursing and state regulatory agency guidelines.
  2. Develop and implement education programs for staff on regulatory compliance, quality, and risk management initiatives.
  3. Conduct investigations into potential compliance issues and develop corrective action plans.
  4. Perform health assessments on residents and monitor their health status through periodic assessments.
  5. Ensure compliance with delegations by all staff and participate in resident care conferences as needed.
  6. Respond to resident changes in condition and ensure timely assessments to meet resident care needs.
  7. Advise staff on clinical issues and report contacts to the Director, Health and Wellness.
  8. Support the Executive Director and Director, Health and Wellness in maintaining compliance with all regulations.
  9. Ensure all employees work in a safe manner and report unsafe actions.
  10. Complete community audits and participate in compliance monitoring.
  11. Communicate areas of non-compliance to the Chief Clinical Officer.
  12. Foster teamwork and demonstrate a positive impact on coworkers, residents, and visitors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum three years' experience in assisted living, Alzheimer's, or Memory Loss care.
  • Experience in Residential Care Management, Clinical Director, or Risk Management.
  • Registered Nurse with state-specific accreditation or license.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work independently.
Working Conditions:

Professional office environment. Uses PC, telephones, word processing, and other standard office equipment.

Requires interaction with co-workers, residents, or vendors. Occasional weekend, evening, or night work may be required.
