The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our orthopedic spine surgery team at UNC Cary Orthopaedics. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients experiencing neck and back pain in the office setting. This role requires strong knowledge of orthopedic spine anatomy, pathophysiology, and treatment modalities, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose patients experiencing neck and back pain in the office setting.
- Assist the physician in the operating room as needed, with a majority of the position being clinic-based.
- Participate in rounding on post-operative patients in the hospital as needed.
- Provide backup coverage for office calls.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience in pain management, orthopaedics, or spine experience is a plus.

Cary, North Carolina, is a vibrant community offering a great quality of life, with easy access to research triangle park, Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and Duke University Hospital. The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience.
