Position: Part-Time Pediatric Healthcare Nurse Practitioner

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM & Saturdays from 9 AM to 4 PM

Role Overview: The Nurse Practitioner (NP), under the guidance of the Medical Director and Practice Administrator, will deliver healthcare services in a pediatric clinical environment within their professional scope. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive health assessments through patient and family interviews, as well as reviewing medical records.
  • Evaluating presenting health issues, risk factors, and psychosocial aspects to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Prescribing and dispensing medications in accordance with medical guidelines and state regulations.
  • Documenting assessments and treatment plans clearly and promptly in patient records.
  • Preparing and updating medical documentation, including examination results, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Engaging in patient consultations and effectively communicating treatment plans to ensure patient and family understanding of health management.
  • Recommending community resources to support patient and family needs.
  • Collaborating with care teams to prepare for patient visits and follow-up care.
  • Maintaining a cooperative and respectful demeanor with clinic staff, providers, and patients to promote a positive work environment.
  • Sharing relevant information with other healthcare professionals and community organizations.
  • Facilitating discharge planning and teaching in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Utilizing telehealth services as appropriate for patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Nursing is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical or urgent care setting is essential.
  • Comfort in providing care for patients with mental health conditions.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is necessary.
