Job Summary

Entrust is seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Leader to join our Information Security department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the cross-functional and enterprise-wide data protection function. This role will involve driving the overall strategy, methodology, and roadmap for data protection processes, systems, tools, and technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the data protection program, inclusive of driving the overall strategy, methodology, and roadmap for data protection processes, systems, tools, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups and leadership to identify and classify data, and assist them in ensuring that sensitive and proprietary data is appropriately tagged and protected.
  • Own the enterprise data protection strategy, and corresponding policies and standards, that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate the data loss program for efficacy, and serve as a SME on the organization's data protection standards in responding to due diligence requests and managing through any data loss incidents.
  • Lead cross-functional team members through an indirect reporting relationship, and review, prioritize, and recommend data protection improvements as they relate to the achievement of business goals and objectives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or demonstrated significant expertise in data protection through practical experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive and relevant work experience, with demonstrated leadership skills leading diverse information security teams/functions.
  • One or more relevant professional certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, SSCP, CEH, etc.).
  • Understanding of the legal, regulatory, and/or customer requirements for data protection.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of data protection technologies and solutions, such as encryption, access controls, and backup and recovery solutions (CASB, DLP, NGFWs, etc.).
  • The ability to identify and assess potential risks to data and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them.
  • The ability to communicate data protection policies and procedures effectively and provide training to employees to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks with demanding deadlines.
