Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radar/EO/IR System Engineer to join our team at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced radar and EO/IR systems for various applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced radar and EO/IR systems, including signal processing algorithms and system architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate radar and EO/IR systems with other sensors and systems.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure compliance with performance and safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents and test reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and advancements in radar and EO/IR systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in radar and EO/IR systems engineering.
  • Strong understanding of radar and EO/IR systems, including signal processing and system architectures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced radar and EO/IR systems, including phased arrays and active electronically scanned arrays.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques for radar and EO/IR systems.
  • Experience with system-level modeling and simulation tools.
