Position Summary:

In the role of a Civil Engineer with EIT certification, you will be integral to the execution of engineering projects from initial design through to completion. You will work within a dynamic team environment, closely partnering with experienced engineers and project managers to design, plan, and implement a diverse array of civil engineering initiatives. Your technical skills and innovative approach to problem-solving will be vital in delivering successful outcomes for projects such as transportation systems, water management, commercial buildings, and public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Design and Planning: Work alongside senior engineers and project managers to conceptualize and strategize civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to local laws, codes, and industry standards.
  • Technical Analysis: Perform technical evaluations, feasibility assessments, and simulations to assess the practicality and effectiveness of proposed engineering solutions.
  • Design Software Utilization: Employ Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and modeling tools to produce comprehensive engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist in securing necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities, ensuring all regulatory standards are met.
  • Construction Oversight: Provide support during the construction phase, including site evaluations, construction management, and resolving on-site engineering issues.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the precision and quality of engineering outputs, following established quality assurance protocols.
  • Client Engagement: Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and external agencies to address inquiries, provide project updates, and foster positive relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • EIT Certification: A valid Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification in Texas or eligibility for immediate certification transfer from another state.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD, Revit, and MicroStation software.
  • Fundamental Knowledge: A solid grasp of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and regulatory frameworks specific to Texas.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to assess complex engineering challenges and devise effective solutions.
