About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team at Ascension Seton. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for assessing injuries and managing comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes to ensure safety and optimal performance.
  • Design and implement comprehensive training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.
  • Evaluate and manage injuries, maintaining accurate medical documentation and serving as a liaison between the physician and the athlete.
  • Prepare athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, applicable regulations, and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Licensed Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers, obtained within 6 months of hire date.
  • BLS Provider certification, obtained within 1 month of hire date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Board of Certification (BOC) Athletic Trainer in good standing and eligible for Athletic Trainer Licensure within the state of Texas.
  • Additional certifications, such as CSCS, CES, PES, FMS.
  • EMT Certification, strongly preferred.
