Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

ProMedica Health System is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Farmington.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident service plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide food service and ensure residents' dietary needs are met
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Manage behavior and provide socialization opportunities
  • Participate in activities and orientation programs
  • Provide information and support to residents and families
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
  • Previous dementia experience preferred

Physical Demands:

The Certified Nursing Assistant must be able to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods. They must also be able to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis. Full use of hands, arms, and legs is required for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning, and operating clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances.
