Sr. Data Solutions Architect Needed

The Pacific Disaster Center (PDC) is looking for an experienced Sr. Data Solutions Architect to join our team in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. In this role, you will design and implement scalable data architectures to support our disaster response and risk reduction initiatives.

Overview:

The Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii Dba RCUH is a research organization supporting various projects, including the Pacific Disaster Center (PDC). Our team is dedicated to creating innovative solutions for disaster management and mitigation. As a PDC Sr. Data Solutions Architect, you will contribute to this mission by developing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions.

Salary: $11,000 - $15,000 per month

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing robust data architectures to support complex queries and large-scale data processing needs
  • Developing and maintaining real-time and batch data processing systems using modern data engineering practices
  • Leading cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that align with organizational objectives
  • Providing technical support and guidance to internal and external clients on data architecture, storage solutions, and integration techniques

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Data Science, or a related field
  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in data engineering, processing, management, or governance, including three to five years of leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data quality management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
