Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and protocols for construction sites.
  • Provide guidance and training to project teams and construction personnel on safety-related matters.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with management and project teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in underground construction work.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
