Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Quality Assurance Manager to support the Operating Unit (OU) Quality Assurance Manager in all aspects of corporate and programmatic QA/QC functions. This role involves auditing and reporting, developing and reviewing QA/QC tools, and creating training materials for the OU's main business lines, including environmental restoration and compliance, fuels and fueling systems repair and maintenance, and more.
Key Responsibilities- Support the QA/QC Manager in overseeing and directing the QA/QC program for the OU.
- Serve as the Quality Assurance Manager on multiple contracts.
- Evaluate and ensure implementation of the QA/QC Program that meets client, program, and project-specific requirements.
- Develop and evaluate project management plans, quality management plans, and other documents to ensure they include the appropriate QA/QC components.
- Interact with client quality assurance staff to resolve comments on documents and processes.
- Conduct and report on audits and surveillances.
- Track quality incidents and associated corrective actions.
- Train staff on OU and corporate quality requirements.
- Support program managers, project managers, and client managers on quality matters.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from an accredited four-year college or university in an engineering or scientific discipline.
- Experience in construction QA/QC may be considered advantageous.
- Formal training in the U.S. EPA or equivalent U.S. government quality systems is desirable.
- Candidates with a working knowledge of U.S. EPA, USACE, U.S. DoD, and U.S. DOE quality standards will be favored.
- International Standards Organization (ISO) lead auditor certification or Lean Six-Sigma training is considered a plus.
