Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing scalable infrastructure using AWS services, ensuring system reliability, and optimizing performance. You will work with various technologies like Docker, Python, Node.js, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and more to create robust and scalable platforms.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance infrastructure solutions using AWS services.
  • Develop and maintain containerized environments to support application deployment and scaling.
  • Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Lead incident response efforts, including diagnosis, resolution, and analysis.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools like Terraform.
  • Develop scripts for system management and deployment.
  • Support and optimize applications and services for efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to integrate new features with security, reliability, and scalability in mind.
  • Manage and optimize SQL databases for performance and reliability.
  • Implement backup strategies, perform routine database maintenance, and monitor systems for potential issues.
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust systems for optimal operation.
  • Work closely with developers to integrate new features with focus on reliability and scalability.
  • Provide technical guidance on best practices for security, scalability, and observability.
  • Create documentation for infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, and best practices.
  • Implement security best practices across infrastructure and applications.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with AWS cloud services and container orchestration.
  • Strong scripting skills for automation and application support.
  • Experience with database management and optimization for MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
  • Familiarity with microservices and event-based architecture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $200,000 per year based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
