Job Overview

This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure while ensuring system reliability and performance.

You'll play a crucial part in developing and managing our cloud-based infrastructure, guaranteeing high availability, reliability, and performance of our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implement Scalable Infrastructure: Utilize AWS services to create high-performance infrastructure solutions.
  2. Containerization Expertise: Develop and maintain Docker-based environments for application deployment and scaling.
  3. System Reliability and Performance: Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of our systems and applications.
  4. Incident Response and Analysis: Lead incident response efforts, including diagnosis, resolution, and post-mortem analysis.
  5. Automation and Orchestration: Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and develop scripts for system management and deployment.
  6. Application Support and Optimization: Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to integrate and deploy new features, focusing on security, reliability, and scalability.
  7. Database Management: Manage and optimize SQL databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) for performance and reliability.
  8. Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify potential issues.
  9. Performance Tuning: Analyze performance metrics and tune systems for optimal operation.
Qualifications
  1. AWS Cloud Services Proficiency: Strong expertise with AWS cloud services and container orchestration using Docker.
  2. Scripting Skills: Proficient scripting skills for automation and application support (e.g., Go, Python, Bash).
  3. Database Experience: Experience with database management and optimization for MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
  4. IaC Tools Familiarity: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).
  5. Monitoring Tools Knowledge: Knowledge of monitoring tools and best practices.
  6. CI/CD Pipelines Experience: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, CodePipeline).
  7. Microservices Architecture: Familiarity with microservices and event-based architecture.
  8. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
