Job SummaryThe Nurse Flow Manager will be responsible for coordinating clinical staffing, monitoring patient flow, and assisting providers in delivering quality patient care. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient intake and triage, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of patient information.
- Monitor and optimize patient flow, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to reduce wait times and improve patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Health Center Manager to interview, train, and evaluate clinical support staff members.
- Assist with ordering medical supplies and equipment, and coordinate with the Health Center Manager to arrange for purchases and repairs.
- Support patient examination and treatment by FCCH providers, including vital signs, patient interviews, and specimen collection.
- Administer injections and medications as requested by providers.
- Provide patient education and instruction on proper care and treatment.
- Perform venipuncture, lab procedures, and record laboratory test results in patient records.
- Ensure coverage of the department and maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, site leadership meetings, and organization leadership meetings.
- Establish good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A State of New Mexico Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) degree.
- Two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish language skills are preferred.
This role requires moderate physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods. You will also need to use medical equipment, office machines, and personal computers for word-processing and data entry.
Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
