Key Responsibilities:

  • Professionally greet patients both in person and via phone
  • Address inquiries and concerns promptly or direct them appropriately
  • Enhance patient satisfaction through effective scheduling and management of provider calendars
  • Inform providers of patient arrivals in a timely manner
  • Provide reassurance to patients by addressing their concerns and questions
  • Maintain accurate patient records by retrieving and updating necessary information
  • Verify financial details and manage patient billing while processing third-party claims
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA by obtaining necessary authorizations for medical record releases
  • Oversee office supplies and equipment by anticipating needs and placing orders as required
  • Measure and document vital signs and perform additional assigned tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or training
  • At least 3 years of experience with EMR or EHR systems
  • 1+ years of experience in patient scheduling
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in insurance billing processes
  • Active CMA or CNA certification
  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude
  • Background in healthcare with direct patient interaction
