**Job Summary:**
Company is searching for someone to assist in the maintenance of the general ledger for multiple legal entities and support the monthly close process. A Staff Accountant is responsible for providing support to department activities with specific responsibilities for ensuring that overall fiscal policies, practices, and regulations meet compliance requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Interface with clients daily to discuss financial matters and provide support.
• Prepare business personal property renditions and loan covenant calculations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare loan amortization schedules and financial statement set-ups to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain capital schedules and review real estate escrow statements to purchase agreements and loan payoff calculations.
• Interact with lenders and prepare compliance reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review tenant financial statements and prepare client financials to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Review and correct financial statements and general ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Correspond with government agencies relating to client property tax notifications received.
• Perform day-to-day A/P, A/R, filing, and online file storage (GFR) tasks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Work extended hours as needed to meet deadlines and ensure project completion.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
**Qualifications:**
• Must have a strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Real Estate / Property Management Experience and 5-7 years' Real Estate Accounting experience are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a 3.0 GPA or better is required.
