Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Opportunity

Position Overview:
This is a full-time, permanent role focused on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation medicine, particularly in the area of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employed position with a focus on both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Oversee a Program Directorship for ABI, aimed at enhancing clinical and academic practices.
  • Manage a busy inpatient consult service in collaboration with Level 1 Trauma and Neuro oncology programs.
  • Develop a post-acute care continuum to improve access for a growing outpatient brain injury population.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be Board Certified/Board Eligible and possess experience in ABI, ideally with fellowship training in brain injury rehabilitation.

Join a state-of-the-art 26-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, established in 2018, known for its exceptional clinical and operational standards. This role offers numerous opportunities for academic, research, and scholarly activities, including teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, medical students, and rehabilitation therapists within one of the largest networks in the state.

Academic Affiliation:
This position includes a Faculty appointment at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
