Job Summary

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions in the Theatre Technology and Design Program. We are seeking qualified candidates to teach courses in theatre technology and design, including lighting, sound, and set design.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned classes in person or online, delivering course content to students and preparing course materials and lesson plans.
  • Grade student work and provide robust feedback in a timely manner.
  • Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
  • Provide online or in-person academic support to students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment.
  • Maintain office hours and comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Arts in Theatre or a related field, plus 6 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre or a related field, plus 4 years of relevant experience.
  • A Master of Fine Arts in Theatre or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre, plus 3 years of relevant experience; or a Doctorate in Theatre or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience.
