Job Overview

FAR Inspections is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders.

As an independent contractor, you will have the opportunity to earn predictable full-time or supplemental income and enjoy a flexible schedule.

While experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, the ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines is crucial.

FAR Inspections has been in business for over 9 years and is based in Reno, NV.

Responsibilities
  • Verify property occupancy and report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
  • Most inspections are exterior only, with about 10% requiring interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
  • Complete inspections within 4 days of assignment and submit reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Computer with an internet connection and reliable vehicle.
  • Smartphone (Android or iPhone) and printer.
  • Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.
Compensation
  • This is a 1099 position with a flat rate per inspection.
  • Rates vary based on county and volume, with the potential to earn $20-$30 per hour.
  • Work hours and volume vary by county and territory, with the opportunity to earn more as you become established.
