Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Head Start Teacher - Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at United Capital Management. As a key member of our early childhood education program, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Plan, prepare, and conduct center classroom days that provide a comprehensive Head Start experience, aligning with the curricula and meeting the requirements of the Head Start Performance Standard.
  • Child Assessment and Progress Evaluation: Serve and evaluate children's progress, basing program planning and individualization on child outcomes data to improve children's readiness for school.
  • Record-Keeping and Documentation: Complete record-keeping, child assessments, communication, case notes, data collection, and other participant documentation as required.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: Supervise classroom staff, coordinate and provide services for children with disabilities, and facilitate the transition of Head Start children to the next educational facility.
  • Family Engagement and Community Outreach: Encourage family engagement in program and assist with grantee efforts in recruitment of Head Start children.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: AA or BA degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field as defined by the Office of Head Start, and CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated interpersonal skills, computer/keyboarding skills, ability to work as part of a team, and knowledge and understanding of child development.
