Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a sterile environment: As an Operating Room Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a sterile operating room. This includes the preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Assist in instrumentation: You will support surgeons by providing the correct instruments during procedures, requiring a thorough understanding of surgical tools and their applications.
  • Conduct counts of sponges, needles, and instruments: It is vital to accurately track all surgical items used during operations to ensure patient safety.
  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures: You will assist in positioning patients on the operating table, draping them appropriately, and disinfecting the surgical area.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team: A successful Operating Room Technician should proactively meet the needs of the surgical team, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available.
  • Support patient care: In addition to surgical assistance, you will help with patient care before and after procedures, which may include monitoring vital signs and providing post-operative support.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Technician is required to ensure a solid foundation of skills and knowledge in the surgical environment.
