Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LPN to fill the role of Assistant Director of Nursing at our Anchorage assisted living facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing services department, ensuring the highest level of quality care is provided to residents.
  • Supervise caregivers and on-duty supervisors, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual plan reviews for residents, working closely with families and outside providers to ensure their needs are met.
  • Assist with coordinating outside resources for residents, including pharmacy, primary care providers, and hospice organizations.
  • Facilitate caregiver training and new hire training, ensuring our staff has the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional care.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, counseling, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating nursing services personnel, ensuring compliance with policies and applicable laws.
  • Review personnel complaints and grievances, ensuring all staff are treated consistently and fairly.
Requirements
  • Current LPN license
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain before start date
  • Experience caring for patients with dementia
  • 1 year experience in a hospital, assisted living, long-term care, or other healthcare-related community
