Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Support Specialist to join our team at Devereux California. As a Behavioral Health Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, emotional and behavioral challenges, and other complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, bill pay, and grocery shopping.
  • Accompany individuals on community outings, medical appointments, and other activities, as directed.
  • Assist with hygiene care and provide support with personal care needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals in achieving their goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
