Position Summary

The Overnight Pipeline & Plumbing Installation Technician provides essential support to the lead Technician responsible for Perma-Liner and plumbing tasks. This role is integral to a dedicated team focused on comprehensive pipelining and plumbing services, including removal and installation.

Position: Pipeline & Plumbing Installation Technician (Night Shift)

Location: Sterling, MA

Requirements: Previous experience in construction and/or drain cleaning (minimum 1 year)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and implement safe work practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication between clients and Wind River Environmental.
  • Construction Responsibilities:
    • Perform saw cutting within the unit.
    • Utilize jackhammers for interior work.
    • Hand dig the external sanitary line.
    • Execute drywall installation.
    • Conduct plastering tasks.
    • Install vinyl siding.
    • Carry out painting duties.
  • Plumbing Responsibilities:
    • Manage sanitary line tasks.
    • Oversee boiler removal.
  • Pipelining Responsibilities:
    • Prepare, install, and cure Perma-Liner products for pipe repairs.
    • Ensure protection of pipelining materials and maintain an organized truck inventory.
  • Engage actively in training sessions, team meetings, and safety discussions.
  • Complete and submit all necessary quotes and service documentation to management.
  • Adhere to all Wind River Environmental service protocols.
  • Comply with FMCSA and DOT regulations as applicable.
  • Utilize safe work methods to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Recognize potential hazards in routine and non-routine tasks and adjust accordingly.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in assisting with Perma-Liner installations (inversion, main line installation, and Pull-in-Place).
  • Prior experience in plumbing, construction, and drain cleaning is preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate construction tools such as shovels, pickaxes, jackhammers, wet saws, and demo saws.
  • Comprehend instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Read and interpret documents including company policies, safety regulations, and operational instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Work independently and manage stress to meet deadlines.
  • Possess basic computer skills, including email and internet navigation.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.

Minimum Education / Experience / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction and/or drain cleaning.
  • 4+ years of experience in Perma-Liner installation.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings and background checks as required.
