We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the State of Delaware. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Administer treatments as directed by a licensed physician or other qualified healthcare professional.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Pour, administer, chart, and record medications as prescribed by a licensed physician or other qualified healthcare professional.
- Give prescribed intramuscular and subcutaneous injections and inoculations.
- Observe patient behavior and condition, and report changes to appropriate staff.
- Record information on patients' charts.
- Possession of a Delaware Practical Nurse license, Delaware temporary license, or multi-state compact license.
- For Licensed Practical Nurse II and III positions, at least six months and eighteen months of experience as a Practical Nurse, respectively.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at the State of Delaware, you will enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
Working ConditionsThis position requires a high level of physical and mental stamina, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed.
