The Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center (ACDC) at Temple University is actively seeking qualified candidates for tenure-track faculty roles in both basic and clinical sciences, with a specific emphasis on cardiovascular health, disease, neuroscience, metabolism, and aging. The ACDC offers a dynamic and engaging research atmosphere, welcoming individuals who are passionate about uncovering the fundamental mechanisms underlying cardiovascular and brain health. Established in 2023 under the leadership of Dr. John Elrod, the ACDC emerged from the merger of the Center for Translational Medicine and the Cardiovascular Research Center. Our faculty boasts a strong history of scientific achievement and a commitment to mentoring the next generation of researchers. Our multidisciplinary research interests encompass various fields, including vascular, cardiac, pulmonary, neurodegenerative, developmental, and metabolic pathophysiology. Collaboration and collegiality are essential to our center's success, supported by two current NHLBI project program grants and several co-PI awards. The ACDC occupies over 30,000 square feet of modern laboratory space in a state-of-the-art research facility, equipped with advanced tools and resources, including a top-tier genomics core, imaging facility, metabolomics expertise, and a mutant mouse and surgical core.

Job Qualifications: Candidates must possess a PhD, M.D., MD/PhD, or equivalent degree, along with a strong academic record. We are looking for high-impact scientists with established research programs and a proven track record of securing fellowship funding.
