We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at Forest Park Forever. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general accounting duties, assisting with bank and asset reconciliations, and monitoring accounts payable transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general accounting duties, including financial statement preparation and analysis
- Assist with bank and asset reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Monitor and review accounts payable transactions for consistency and correct coding
- Record regular journal entries and review general ledger accounts for inconsistencies and trends
- Assist with the preparation of the annual audit and form 990 tax return
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook & Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) required
- Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
- Scheduling flexibility with the ability to work a minimum 20-24 hours a week
- Hybrid work model with more office time during the initial employment period
- Once training has been completed, this position may be completely virtual with in-office requirements as needed
