Cardiac Imaging Specialist

Responsible for generating ultrasonic images and Doppler flow assessments of cardiac structures to support healthcare professionals in diagnosing and analyzing cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) examinations.
  • Recording and preserving patient information and test results.
  • Handling variations in workload and time management.
  • Evaluating patients and adjusting to evolving clinical scenarios.
  • Completing billing processes for conducted tests.
  • Utilizing and caring for departmental and medical equipment.
  • Taking initiative and accountability for personal performance.
  • Executing additional tasks as required.
Educational Requirements:
Completion of two years of formal education or training beyond high school in Cardiac Ultrasonography.

Certification and Licensure:

Required Certification:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.

Required Registration:
Registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) in accordance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards.
New Hampshire State licensure for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.

Experience Required:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Cardiac Ultrasonography is essential.

Work Schedule:
40 hours per week, structured as either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts.
