Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist I to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our front-line staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling high-volume calls, and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for visitors and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls on a multiline switchboard with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Monitor and respond to Fire Alarms and other monitored alarms in a timely and effective manner.
  • Greet visitors and direct them to their destinations in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of programs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
