Position Summary:
We are in search of a proactive Senior Cybersecurity Analyst who embodies an entrepreneurial mindset. This role involves fieldwork and direct engagement with clients. Responsibilities include analyzing client data to uncover significant account activities, generating detailed reports, mentoring partners in report creation, and working closely with the product team to enhance our tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with strategic thinking and the capacity to lead discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Monitoring:

  • Examine client data to identify unusual or suspicious account activities.
  • Employ security tools and methodologies to assess and monitor data patterns.
  • Promptly investigate suspicious security trends.

Reporting:

  • Create comprehensive reports detailing security findings, trends, and incidents.
  • Present findings to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Maintain thorough and current documentation of all security-related activities and findings.

Coaching and Partner Support:

  • Provide training and guidance to partners on interpreting security reports and findings.
  • Assist in implementing security recommendations and best practices.
  • Serve as a primary contact for partners' security inquiries and concerns.

Thought Leadership and Advocacy:

  • Effectively communicate vulnerabilities and weaknesses in OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25 to diverse audiences, discussing effective defensive strategies.
  • Familiarity with the MITRE Framework and adversarial methodologies.
  • Facilitate discussions on offensive techniques and recommendations.
  • Provide expert insights and security hardening strategies for client environments.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of network threat life cycles, attack vectors, and exploitation methods, including intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network analysis, and security applications, including log and network traffic capture analysis.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate closely with the product team to identify enhancements for platform features.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of security reports, procedures, and protocols.
  • Engage in regular team discussions to address security trends, challenges, and improvement strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a security analyst capacity or similar role.
  • Expertise across multiple security domains, including identity management, authentication, cryptography, and networking.
  • Strong grasp of security frameworks such as MITRE, NIST, or others.
  • Proven experience as a Security Analyst or in a comparable role, with a solid understanding of security concepts, protocols, and practices.
  • Proficiency in utilizing security monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Experience with Neptune/Jupyter notebooks for data analysis is advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in coaching or training others is a plus.
  • Understanding of regulations governing security practices in regulated industries is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
