The Portfolio Execution Group consists of various teams dedicated to essential functions such as trade execution, liquidity management, securities financing, and quantitative research. This division is organized into three primary sub-teams: the Global Trading Unit (GTU), Balance Sheet Management Group (BMG), and Applied Research Unit (ARU).

Global Trading Unit (GTU) Responsibilities

The GTU plays a critical role in executing GIC's investment strategies across public markets. Operating as a unified global team with desks in key financial hubs, GTU manages trades in equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. The primary objectives include ensuring optimal execution for portfolio managers and providing valuable market insights that enhance the investment process.

We are seeking a candidate with substantial experience in Fixed Income trading to join the GTU team, focusing on fixed income transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with GIC's portfolio managers worldwide to execute trades during the New York trading hours, covering cash bonds and derivatives across various markets.
  • Provide unique market intelligence on specific sectors and macroeconomic trends to GIC's portfolio managers and senior leadership.
  • Work alongside the Applied Research Unit (ARU) and Technology Group (TG) to analyze trading data for improved execution and enhance trading technology.
  • Foster and maintain robust relationships with counterparties and liquidity providers through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of trading experience, ideally in Fixed Income or FX.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong aptitude for relationship management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to take calculated market risks to achieve superior execution results.
  • Team-oriented mindset to collaborate on execution strategies and market insights.
  • Programming skills and a passion for data and technology are advantageous.

Compensation Structure
