Surgical Professor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Professor to join our team at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. As a key member of our academic department, you will play a vital role in teaching, research, and clinical care in the surgery service of the Veterinary Medical Center.
Responsibilities- Participate in the teaching, research, and clinical care in the surgery service of the Veterinary Medical Center.
- Teach fourth year students, interns, and residents assigned to clinical rotations.
- Participate in the didactic teaching of students in the DVM curriculum.
- Provide surgical consultations to faculty, residents, interns, and community veterinarians.
- Participate in clinical teaching laboratories.
- Provide continuing education to practicing veterinarians.
- Participate in ongoing clinical research programs.
- Provide timely written follow-up communication to referring veterinarians.
- Participate in after-hours services.
- DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree.
- Successful completion of small animal surgery residency with eligibility for board certification.
- Strong letters of reference.
- Board certified by the American or European College of Veterinary Surgery.
