Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team in Clear Lake, TX. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading and directing the production team to achieve maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
Provide leadership and direction to the production team, including training and team facilitation with the help of manufacturing engineering teams.
Equipment and Facility Management
Manage the utilization of equipment, facilities, inventory, and personnel to achieve maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives.
Production Scheduling and Planning
Develop and monitor production schedules, staffing requirements, and budgets to ensure efficient production processes.
Quality and Process Improvement
Lead the production team in scheduling, problem-solving, product quality, employee relations, and process improvements to meet the company's goals and objectives.
Implementation of New Processes
Manage the implementation of new processes, technologies, or tooling needed to manufacture company products.
Collaboration with Engineering
Work with process engineering to ensure that new products are optimally designed for manufacturing.
Facilities Planning
Participate in facilities planning meetings that involve manufacturing issues.
Record Keeping
Ensure that accurate and complete records of department activities are kept, and that they meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or some college.
Experience
2-3 years of relevant production or manufacturing engineering leadership experience, preferably in the medical device field.
Skills
Software application proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ERP/MRP software (preferably SAP, QAD, JDE or similar), and MES system (i.e. Camstar SAP MES, Document Control systems (e.g. Agile, PDMLINK) and Report Writing software.
Knowledge
Production/manufacturing knowledge including but not limited to inventory/work-in-process principles, labor efficiencies, production scheduling/planning, yield tracking, defect analysis, and corrective action.
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a team environment.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Education
Some college or 4-year degree preferred.
Lean and Six Sigma Training
Lean and Six Sigma training and application experience preferred.
Regulatory Knowledge
Knowledge of and experience with FDA, DEKRA, and ISO regulations is preferred.
Additional Information
Location
Clear Lake, TX (Southeast Houston Area).
Compensation
The target annual salary ranges from $75,000 - 95,000 plus annual bonus. Salary will be awarded based on experience.
Travel
This position may require occasional business travel.
